The T.V appearances page has been updated for the month of August. In additon to the listings, there is also a broadcast on Trio (Digital Cable) on the 15th at 8 PM and 16th at 12 AM and 5PM. The recording was originally broadcast on PBS around christmas time. It includes the sessions from the Joy album. The event is titled Sessions At West 54th St. I will try to add these later when I get time to add the network to the database.
I've recently made some changes to the backend of the site. My middle tier has been replaced with a new dll that i've written. If anyone has problems with the site (mostly news, and guestbook) then please send me email at Luke@FoolishGames.com.
The EDA gathering had few attendees. The actual concert started late. Ty Murray was at the concert. This was a pleasant surprise for Jewel who kissed him on stage. An EDA, Tamarrah, gave Jewel a teddy bear and shirt at the end of the concert. Jewel replied, "Thank you baby."
The concert was scheduled to start at 6:00 PM EST. At 6:30 PM, fans were still waiting to get in. By 7:00 PM the concert was supposed to start. T-shirts were on sale for $25 US. The shirts had last weeks date on them crossed out. The new date was printed on the shirts to save money.
I am working on a few changes to the site including more pictures, news features, biography updates, and updates to the backend. In peticular, I am working on some new dll's in visual basic that will add some new "tricks" to the site. Should be interesting.
According to posted information, Jewel will not allow anyone to bring cameras or recording devices to the concert. It is quite unlikely we will hear this concert until the new CD is released. This information was posted by Jewel's management.
Jewel was mentioned during the 1997-1998 section of the timeline shown on MTV. They showed a brief interview with Jewel about her poetry and music. Then they played "You Were Meant For Me." It might be possible to catch another run of the show on MTV. Check your T.V. listings
The concert scheduled for this weekend is on. EDA's that have the opportunity to go, have sent in their RSVPs. This means the recording will continue, and Jewel plans on using the tracks on the next album provided they sound good, and attendees seem to like them.
