The IFC Network will premier the documentary "Crossover." The documentary focuses on artists that have crossed over to film. Jewel will be featured in the show. Airtimes include September 24th at 8 PM EST and 11 PM EST.
Jewel will present an award at this years MTV Music Awards on September 6. The show will take place in New York City. The broadcast airs live on MTV at 8:00 PM EST.
Jewel will perform at a Democratic fundraising benefit for Mayoral canidate Mark Green at Town Hall in New York City. The event will take place September 5, 2001. Mary J. Blige and Jon Bon Jovi will also perform.
A Jewel interview / cover story will appear in the August 19th edition of the San Diego Union Tribune. This will be syndicated to over 500 newspapers across the country. Music critic George Varga performed the interview.
Its official, album four has completed the recording process. Final Mixing is now in progress for the album. The new album will hit stores November 13, 2001. The track list has not been finalized at this time. Also Jewel is rehearsing material with her new band. They will play their first gig in San Diego.
The FG Biography has been updated. New information has been added to the Ride With The Devil portion regarding production time, cost, etc.
Over the weekend, I will be adding several new features to the site. Expect updates to the biography, pictures area, and other portions of the site. I've removed the caching mechanism for the "home" page news listing. Although the page will load slower, the news will always be up to date and match the news page.
The new CD was completed BEFORE the Nashville concert. The completion was announced at the Nashville event. It is unlikely that any of the tracks will be on the new album. Some fans are hoping for b-sides or a hidden track.
Jewel has completed work on the new album. She has done a photo shoot for the album cover, etc. Jewel also joked about going country as many have speculated. It seems her record company was a bit nervous about it as well.
The new album will be titled "This Way." This information came from attendees at the Nashville Concert.
