"This Way" single to hit radio stations this week.

"Standing Still" will be delivered to radio stations this week. It is the first single from "This Way." This information has been confirmed at Atlantic Records, Billboard, and Jam! Music. On a side note, Atlantic said in their press release that Jewel has sold over 23 million albums worldwide with 11 million copies of Pieces of You sold in the US alone.

Touring Information for "This Way"

Jewel will begin touring early in 2002. She will start with Television, and radio appearances. More information when it becomes available.

Change: Pantene Pro-Voice Concert Airing

The MuchMusic network will not show any of Jewel's performance at the Pantene Pro-Voice Concert in their upcoming television presentation. A fresh edit of the broadcast will appear in December with Jewel content included.

First New Music Video from New Album Filmed

Jewel filmed the first music video for the "This Way" on August 29-30th. The song is called "Standing Still," and is the first single to be released. The video was shot in L.A., CA. with Darren Grant directing. There is a mystery guest star in the video. MTV and VH1 will begin airing the video later this month.

Nov. 14: Jewel to honor Ang Lee in NY

Jewel will be participating in an event to honor Ang Lee and Alby Hecht. The event is called the New York Civil Liberties Union Celebration, and is scheduled at Irving Plaza, New York, NY. (November 14, 2001)

Lenedra Carroll (Jewel's Mother) will release book

Jewel's Mother, Lenedra Carroll has written a book entitled The Architecture of All Abundance. The book will be released on September 17th. It details portions of her childhood, young adult experiences, business practices, and her relationship with Jewel.

New CD: The U.S. is NOT the first country to get the album

American fans will be disappointed to learn that Japan will receive the new album first. The album will be released on Halloween (Oct 31, 2001) in Japan. The U.S. release date is still November 13, 2001 (interesting 31 and 13). Europe will receive the album around the U.S. date.
