I noticed that Mr BB posted in a recent JewelLink (official Jewel newsletter) that individuals were getting stuck on the last question of one of the trivial games. He mentioned that it was in regard to the Net Aid concert where Jewel performed with Bono of U2. I find it surprising that Jewel fans do not know Bono. I encourage all of you to pick up U2's most recent album, All That You Can't Leave Behind. You can learn more about U2 at http://www.u2.com/
For those of you who ordered the Pantene Pro-Voice tickets for the contest in Central Park, they will be shipping by the end of this week. Many of you should receive them by the beginning of next week.
Jewel performed the following: You Were Meant For Me, Stephenville, Hands, Who Will Save Your Soul and Chime Bells. She also signed autographs, and met with the public before her set. Jewel started to play around 6:20 PM (Kansas time). The concert was held at Sandstone Amphitheater, Bonner Springs, Kansas. Jewel joked around about the fact that Stephenville could not be a hit because it is not pop music. She also played Chime Bells in an increasing fast pace. Jewel caught a plane soon after her set finished.
Jewel will not have a song appear on the soundtrack for "America's Sweethearts." Originally there was some dialog between a few parties, but it never went anywhere. America's Sweethearts is a film with Julia Roberts. My source on this is a post from Mr. BB on a Jewel mailing list. The original article that started the rumor is found on radioundercover.com
Contrary to Country.com's posting, Jewel did not attend an event or record America the Beautiful on the 19th of June. This is invalid information, and Jewel's management has confirmed that it is indeed 0.
Tickets will be available on Z100.com or at the following stores on Monday, June 25th: FYE at 51st Street and 6th ave in Manhattan, FYE in Jersey Gardens Mall, Elizabeth, NJ; Coconuts 413 Tarrytown Road, White Plains, NY; Record Town in Roosevelt Field Mall, Garden City, NY
I've improved the news page by adding a drop down list instead of links for each page. That makes it easier, and cleaner to find older news articles. I also re-wrote some of the code to speed it up a bit. The "Home" page has some speed updates as well. I also removed the "top" graphic on the T.V. Appearances page so it will be easier to read.
I just added all of the remaing listings for the month of June to the new T.V. Listings page. You can find a link to it on the top of the news page or on the site map.
