Jewel's new music video, "Standing Still," debuted on VH1 at Number 20 on VH1's top 20 countdown.

America Online has chosen Jewel as artist of the month for October. Of Course AOL TimeWarner owns Atlantic Records, so this should not come as a hugh shock.

My grandfather, Evert L. Holt died at age 72 last wednesday. I spent the weekend in Flint attending the funeral.

During the weekend, Atlantic Records posted incorrect information about the release date of "This Way" as well as an incorrect track listing. The album will not be released October 30th as reported (expect in Japan). Jewel's management will post a corrected track listing soon. The release of an accurate track list has been expidited as a result of the error by Atlantic.

The Jewel: A Life Uncommon home video will be re-released on November 13, 2001. The video has been remastered for release on DVD and VHS. There is additional footage included in this release.
