Jewel and Steve Poltz in LA

From the Jewel Mailing List:

Jewel dropped in on Steve Poltz's show on Friday night at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles and sat in for an hour or so, resurrecting a few old songs during a set of her own and collaborating on quite a few songs with Steve and Spirit Tour guitarist Doug Pettibone. A good time was had by all 50 (or less!) people in attendance. Jewel's setlist is posted at the
jeweljk.com setlist page.

to that extensive list of accomplishments with her first publication, The

Jewel claims that she was asked to do "Picture" by Kid Rock

Jewel commented in a recent rolling stone magazine article that she was asked to do "Picture." Of course, the song was performed by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow. (there is an alternate version as well) Personally, I doubt Kid Rock asked Jewel to do that song. It is not her style, and quite frankly the song would not be nearly as good if Jewel were involved in the project. I think Jewel's comments in Rolling Stone were based in jealousy. It is a shame to see Jewel act jealous over a song.

Since Jewel got to review the song, I am going to as well. I found "Picture" to be an excellent song. I enjoy listening to it quite a bit. I am not a huge Kid Rock fan, but I do love Sheryl Crow. She has a great voice, and its aged a lot better than most. I think there are only three artists that I seriously buy ever album from.. Jewel, U2, and Sheryl Crow.
