I went through the IIS logs this weekend and discovered some interesting facts. The Downloads, Pictures and Poetry areas appear to be the most popular areas of my website. With that in mind, I've begun looking at possible ways to improve those areas. More files will be available for download. Anyone out there willing to donate "live" performances and so forth, please contact me. I will work on updating each of those areas as two of them have not been updated since 1998 for the most part. Also I noticed that I received a lot of hits from intel.com and boeing.com earlier this month. Hope they felt welcome. (although my main workstation has an AMD chip... but who has the money for a PIII or a Mac? lol.)
Jewel is taking time off and finishing up work on her second book, which will feature original short stories and prose. Three excerpts are currently featured in the premiere issue of "O" Magazine.
As I was viewing Tanner's Planet Jewel site today, I came across a shocking surprise. Tanner has announced that he will no longer be updating his website. This is a shame as Planet Jewel was one of the few Jewel sites I visited on a semi-regular basis (besides Pieces of Jewel and the Official Jewel Site). Tanner and I have been chatting on and off for some time now. His work will be missed, but it makes sense that he would take such a step. I have considered ending this site myself at several points in time. I'd like to take this time to thank Tanner for his work and I wish him good luck.
Mostly reruns will appear with an appearance on Before they were rock stars on the first at 10 on VH1 and Nick News on Nickelodeon at 8:30 EST on the second.
The new search engine has been released in the preliminary new look of Foolish Games (version 4). The new search works a bit better and has been written from scratch with ASP. After I have tweaked some other pages on the site, I will go back and add functionality. Please report bugs in layout and functionality to Luke@foolishgames.com. Expect a more dynamic site soon. The new design allows me to keep the content separate from the layout. Please use a newer browser like Netscape 4 or IE5 when viewing this site. Text browsers should also work. :)
Jewel fans around the world gave Jewel a smooch last month. The "Jewel Team" won the 25,000 dollar contest with the money going to benefit the Clearwater project.
Chasing Down The Dawn: Life Stories By Jewel will contain new short stories by Jewel! Harper Collins will also be publishing this book. Look for more information soon.
