Jewel has been recruited by digital camera maker Canon to write the theme tune for their latest $10 million dollar ad campaign:'during the ad, Jewel sings, "Paint a picture in your mind
Nothing is crueler than the passing of time." Jewel returns to her folkie roots in the theme song she wrote for the campaign. She goes on to sing, "Please say you'll stay forever this way."'

MrBB informed me that an "outtake" of "O Little Town Of Bethlehem" from the
Sessions At West 54th taping in NYC a few years back that eventually became
the video versions of "Joy  A Holiday Collection" is now up on UnEdited.
This show was attended by well over a hundred EDAs and a few of the songs she
performed were re-performed ("OK, Jewel, lets do it again, and get it right
this time d*mmit! 'O Little Town Of Bethlehem', take two! Action!").

This is one of the songs that was re-done that day and this particular
performance of OLTOB has not been heard by the public since.

Believe it or not i have the basic template done! Several of the images are very large and need to be tweaked. In order to use the template, i'm going to need to change the layout of almost every page on the site. At the same time, I plan on going dynamic again. One of my goals is to keep urls as close as possible to the originals though.

Here is my plan: map .htm and .html files in main areas to a modified java framework runing in a servlet container. I'm hoping to use an altered version of maverick with XSLT. I can rewrite each area in XML and then do translations to the template. Basically i'll be at the same place i was in 2000 with ASP and XSLT.

My semester break ends in early january. I want to get everything switched by then. I also have to rewrite an ecommerce site for work in java (.net to java port) and continue work on justjournal.com. I'm also starting a new job on campus next term and need to do training soon. Fun huh?
