Clearwater has started their first U.S. project to bring clean water to a needy community. Jewel started the organization to help communities get clean water, free of contaminants. You can get a link on the links page to the site to learn more.
Jewel played a set strumming her guitar more like she used to. Up to this point she has had trouble doing anything but the simplest movement after the accident.
On June 19th, Jewel taped an interview with Bob Edwards for National
Public Radio's "Morning Edition." This is scheduled to air Monday
morning, July 1st. In many areas, this broadcasts at 5:40 or 7:40 a.m. but
check your local NPR listings for availability and scheduling in your
area.
Another new band interview has now been posted in the Tour section of
Jewel's web site. This week's interview is with keyboardist Steve George,

Tomorrow morning (June 26th), Lenedra and Jewel will be interviewed live
on WOR-710 AM Radio in New York's Joan Hamburg Show. This will broadcast

The 2002 Music Video Production Asociation Award winners were announced
recently and Jewel's "Standing Still" video, directed by Darren Grant, won
Adult Contemporary Video of the Year.
This Sunday night at Jewel's Boston show, VH1 will be taping segments for
a Rock Across America report. They'll be interviewing Jewel and shooting
Soul City Cafe ArtBeat and Jewel performances. The show featuring Jewel is
scheduled to air on July 6th, during VH1's Top 20 Countdown and will
repeat several times throughout that week.
